Passive geolocation of satellite ground stations/VSATs operating across borders, offers significant advantages to defense forces and intelligence organizations. It serves the purpose of determining approximate locations of battalions, naval platforms, and makeshift communication posts.
For defense forces and intelligence agencies, there is a crucial need for a comprehensive passive solution capable of detecting and geographically locating both stationary satellite ground stations/VSATs and moving VSAT terminals on ships or vehicles.Interestingly, most solutions available in the market are active, requiring the transmission of their own signals to locate carriers. In contrast, Shoghi's Satellite Terminal Geolocation System stands out as it does not necessitate the transmission of its own carrier. This system employs highly sophisticated technology to passively geolocate both stationary and moving (ships/vehicles) satellite/VSAT terminals across C-band, Ku-band, X-band, and Ka-band.
